1931-S 10¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong Class II spread towards the center shows on the date, the designer’s initials, and the letters of IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Numerous SW/NE die scratches can be found to the left of the upper profile and to the right of the lower back of the head.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found north of the 2nd U in PLURIBUS.  A die gouge can be found south of the N in UNUM.

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on the date, the letters of IGWT, the designer’s initials, and the Y of LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the Y in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs SSW from the bottom left of the M in UNUM.

Die Markers: Obverse: None significant. Reverse: A die gouge can be found between the lower I and T in UNITED.  A small die gouge can be found in the lower M in AMERICA.
