Description:  D/D South

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  None significant.  Obverse Stage B:  LDS.  The lettering has a mushier appearance.  Reverse Stage A:  A small die gouge can be found between the M and E in AMERICA.  Light die scratches run SSW/NNE inside the right arch.  Reverse Stage B:  The Stage A die markers are weaker but still visible.

1955-D 5¢ WRPM-004

Description:  D/D/D Southwest & Northeast

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die scratch east from the right lower side of the W in WE to the bottom of the first T in TRUST.  Reverse: The reverse is also a minor doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1955-D 5¢ WDDR-010.  A close spread towards the center shows on UNUM and AMERICA.  ESE/WNW die scratch inside the first U in PLURIBUS position slightly below center.  Die scratch ESE from the lower right side of the first U in PLURIBUS to the bottom of the I in PLURIBUS.

Die Markers:  Obverse: A strong die scratch runs north from the bottom left of the bust.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse.  Reverse: Several curving die scratches can be found above the left side of the roof.  A die scratch runs NNE from the N in CENTS.  A die scratch runs NW from the V in FIVE.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.
