1961-D 10¢ WDDR-001          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A CCW spread from a pivot at 1:00 shows on ONE DIME, UNITED STATES, AMERICA, and EPU.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A: Light die scratch north from the 6 in the date.  Obverse Stage B:  Die scratch gone.  Die gouge below the second T in TRUST to the left of the vertical bar.  Reverse Stage A:  Die gouge (dot) in the field centered above the ME of DIME and below the first U of UNUM.  Series of light die scratches north from the flame and through the bottom of the E of STATES.  Reverse Stage B:  Die gouge between the second S of STATES and the flame.  Die scratch from the left leg of the M in DIME to the rim.
