scratch runs east from the top of the B in LIBERTY. Short die scratches extend SE from the nose. Reverse: Die crack runs from the upper S in
PLURIBUS to the top of the eagle’s left wing. E/W die crack through the O in OF. Die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing. Many E/W die scratches between QUARTER DOLLAR and the stems of the branches. Die scratch extends E from the last A in AMERICA.
