Comments:  The original WRPM-008 was found to be an earlier die stage of the original WRPM-006.  Due to the loss of numerous dies for 1980-D, they have both been reassigned as a replacement to WRPM-001.  The original WRPM-001 was found to be a well-placed die gouge.

Comments:  This die was originally listed as WRPM-011, but due to the deletion of a number of dies in the Wexler files, this has been reassigned as WRPM-003.  Of note, a hit nearly obscured the doubling on the Stage A coin, so Stage B is shown instead for the mint mark.

1980-D 1¢ WRPM-004

Submitted By:  Daniel Griffin

Cross References:  None known

Comments:  The original WRPM-004 was found to a well-placed die gouge.  This is a replacement for the WRPM-004 listing.  Additionally, this die is essentially identical to that of the WRPM-006 replacement die (originally WRPM-010) in position and character of doubling.  Possible markers overlap between these two dies, though an intervening die stage would need to be found for definitive determination if they are or are not the same die, as they are markedly different die stages.

Comments:  The original WRPM-006 was found to be a duplicate of WRPM-008.  Due to the large number of dies that were delisted for the year, both WRPM-006 and WRPM-008 have been relisted as WRPM-001.  This below die is a replacement for the WRPM-006 listing, and was formerly listed as WRPM-010.  Additionally, this die is essentially identical to that of the WRPM-004 replacement die in position and seemingly character of doubling.  Possible markers overlap between these two dies, though an intervening die stage would need to be found for definitive determination if they are or are not the same die, as they are markedly different die stages.
