Description: Extremely strong Class VI extra thickness shows on IGWT, LIBERTY, the lower queue, the designer’s initials, and the date.
Die Markers: Obverse: A die crack runs through the hair at the top of the head. A strong die crack runs across the base of the bust. Reverse: A die crack runs through the upper RIBUS of PLURIBUS to the upper left wing. Die cracks run down both of the eagle’s wings.

Die Markers: Obverse: A vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the I in LIBERTY. A die crack runs across the base of the bust into the lower ribbon and also extending into the field above the one in the date. Reverse: A die crack runs down the eagle’s right with a die chip below the U in UNITED. A die crack runs east from the bottom of the eagle’s beak to the back of the head.

Description: A spread towards the center shows on QUARTER DOLLAR decreasing from left to right, and on the leaves and bottom of the branch north of QUARTER.
Die Markers: Obverse: A die crack runs across the base of the bust. Reverse: A strong SW/NE die scratch can be found near the top of the inside of the eagle’s right wing. A die gouge (dot) can be found SSE from the back of the arrow feathers.

Description: A close spread towards the center shows on USA and QUARTER DOLLAR with the strongest spread on the upper half of the reverse. The doubling is best seen on the lower serifs of the letters.
Die Markers: Obverse: Vertical die scratches can be found to the left of the upper neck. SW/NE die scratches can be found to the left of the lips. Other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. A die crack runs across the base of the bust. Reverse: A die scratch connects the upper I and T in UNITED. Circular die scratches run throughout the eagle.
