Description:  A spread towards the center shows on IGWT, the date, the bottom of the ribbon, and LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short vertical die gouge can be found to the right of the lower T in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  None significant.

Description:  A very close spread towards the center shows on the upper left corners of the letters in LIBERTY.  A very close spread also shows on the bottom of the ribbon.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs WNW/ESE to the right of the chin.  Reverse:  None significant.

1957 25¢ WDDR-001

Description:  An extremely close spread towards the center shows on both branch ends, QUARTER DOLLAR, and the lower leaves.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs north from the top left of the N of IN.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NNE from the back of the eagle’s head to the bottom of the B in PLURIBUS.  Parallel die scratches run SSE from the bottom of the S in PLURIBUS.

1957 25¢ WDDR-002          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  Strong extra thickness shows on the letters of QUARTER DOLLAR, the letters of EPU, the letters of USA, and the lower leaves and branches.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die scratches extend NE from the top of the head below the B of LIBERTY.  A short die scratch runs SE from the lower right Y of LIBERTY.  A die crack runs from west to east at the top of the forehead.  Reverse:  A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the left of the E in QUARTER.  A small die gouge can be found at the top of the D in DOLLAR.  A small die gouge can be found inside the top of the 1st U in PLURIBUS.
