Die Markers: Obverse: Cluster of die gouges below the ear. Heavy NW/SE die flow lines left of IGWT. Reverse: Weak N/S die scratches below Burgoyne's wrist. Large die gouge inside the sword guard. Large die gouge above the frill of Burgoyne's sleeve. Two small die gouges below Gates's thumb. Small die gouge left of the doubling. Small die gouge inside the lower opening of the S in SURRENDER. Small die gouge between the S and U in SURRENDER.

Die Markers: Obverse: LDS. Die crack across the base of the bust with multiple die chips left of the designer's initials. Die gouge right of the top of the S in STATES. Reverse: Die chip on the end of the sword's hilt. Die gouge SW of the quillon of the sword.

Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge left of the top of the first R in QUARTER. Large die gouge left of the last R in QUARTER. Obverse Stage B: Stage A gouges may or may not be present. Die chips can be found to the left and to the right of the designer’s initials. Reverse Stage A: Large die gouge between the H in BRITISH and the D in SURRENDER. Die gouge below the G in the designer's initials RG. Reverse Stage B: Stage A gouges may or may not be present. Vertical die scratches can be found to the left of the top of the sword.

Description: Doubling shows inside the lower right opening in the handle of General Burgoyne’s sword.

Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die chip can be found to the right of the designer’s initial. A die chip can be found on the base of the bust north of the R in QUARTER. A small die gouge (dot) is found at the back of Washington’s neck at the level of the bottom of T in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Same as Stage A. Reverse Stage A: A small die gouge (dot) is found just left of the doubling. Reverse Stage B: Stage A marker still present. Die chip between the ring finger and the guard of the sword.

2015-P 25¢ NY WDDR-011

Description: Doubling shows inside the lower right opening in the handle of General Burgoyne’s sword.

Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Feeder finger scrapes below the ear and between the Y and the neck. Strong die scratch extends SE from the R in LIBERTY. Strong NE/SW die scratch left of the tip of the bust. Strong die scratch extends NW from the last R in QUARTER. Thin E/W die scratch through the hair and field left of the G in GOD. Thin NW/SE die scratches on the back of the neck. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers likely weak but still present. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the top of the D in DOLLAR. A small die gouge (dot) can be found above the R in LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: Two small die gouges right of the lower frill of Burgoyne's sleeve. Reverse Stage B: Stage A markers weak but still present.

Description: Very slight doubling shows inside the lower right opening in the handle of General Burgoyne’s sword.

Die Markers: Obverse: Strong feeder finger scrapes above the TY in LIBERTY, below the ear, and through the ponytail. Small die gouge inside the Q in QUARTER. Reverse: Many NE/SW die scratches through the central reverse, strongest through the SUR in SURRENDER.

Die Markers: Obverse: Short die crack across the base of the bust. Small die gouge above the right side of the D in UNITED. Die gouge touches the inner left side of the Q in QUARTER. Reverse: Strong NW/SE die scratches between the designer's initials RG and the 1 in 1777. Two small die gouges between the S and U in SURRENDER.
