Description: Significant extra thickness shows on LIBERTY. Lesser extra thickness shows on USA, QUARTER DOLLAR, IGWT, and the hair details. Extra thickness decreases in strength from left to right. Close separation also shows on UNITED STATES OF, the LIBE of LIBERTY, QUARTER DOLLAR, and the designer's initials JF. The strongest separation shows on STATES.
Die Markers:Obverse Stage A: Small die gouge below the right side of the E in LIBERTY. Small die gouge at the upper right side of the opening in the O in DOLLAR. Obverse Stage B: Die break in the upper opening of the R in LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: Die chip inside the opening of the designer's initials RaM. Pre-die break depressions in the rightmost leaves. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A.
