1892 10¢ WDDO-001

Description: A clockwise spread shows best on the E of AMERICA.

Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is also WRPD-001, repunching of the 892 shows southwest of the primary numerals. Light die crack from the outer tip of the left ribbon running SE through the 1 and 8 in the date to the rim at 6:00 o’clock. Light E/W die crack connecting the tops of the letters of ITE in UNITED. Light die cracks connecting the top of AM and ER in AMERICA. Light die crack connecting the bottom of ME in AMERICA. Reverse: Die crack from the rim at 10:00 o’clock running SE through the leaf to the bottom of the wheat grains. Die crack from the rim at 2:30 o’clock running SW to the corn ear. Die crack from the rim at about 8:00 o’clock running ENE to the leaf.

1901 10¢ WDDO-001

Description: A weak spread toward the center shows on the M and E of AMERICA.

Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is also WRPD-001, repunching of the 01 shows south of the primary numerals. NE/SW die scratch in the upper center of the laurel crown between the two separated leaves. NNE/SSW die scratches inside the ear. Reverse: N/S die scratch connecting the left upper leaf and the wheat stalks.
