Die Markers: Obverse: Long
NE/SW die crack runs from the bowtie, through the lapel, to the bottom of the
bust. Die crack extends NE from the shoulder. Curving die crack extends north
from the top of the ear. Die crack extends east from the crack in the hair and
curves south behind the eye. Two die gouges below the mintmark. Reverse: Die chips on the T in CENT.
Strong N/S die scratches in the field. Strong NW/SE die scratch runs from the T
in CENT to the last T in STATES. Strong N/S die scratch runs from the left side
of the N in ONE to the D in UNITED. Many crisscrossing die scratches between
UNUM and the E in ONE. Die gouge NW of the U in UNITED.
Die Markers: Obverse:
Strong N/S die scratches run from the mintmark to the field in front of the
nose. Short, but strong N/S die on the neck. Weak N/S die scratches in the
field above the TY in LIBERTY. Reverse:
Strong die scratches extend north from the ON in ONE. Old N/S die scratch
through the O in OF. Die gouge between the U and N in UNITED. Weak die gouge
through the upper E in UNITED.

scratches through and above the first 1 and above the TY in LIBERTY very weak,
but still present. All other stage A markers abraded away. Die clash at the
throat. Die gouge to the left of the first T in TRUST. Obverse Stage C: Most
Stage B markers abraded away. Die clash still present. Reverse Stage A: N/S
die scratches in the field. Strong N/S die scratch to the left of the T in
CENT. Strong N/S die scratch in the lower opening of the N in ONE. Strong N/S
die scratches between the S and T in STATES.Reverse Stage B: N/S die
scratches below the C in CENT, to the left of the T in CENT, and above the E in
STATES very weak, but still present. A very early die crack can be seen on the
lower left wheat ear. Reverse

abraded away. Die crack extends NE from the rim and turns north in the lower
left wheat ear. Die crack extends SW from the rim and curves south in
the upper right wheat ear. Die gouge touches the inner right side of the U in UNITED.

in the hair below the D in GOD. Die gouge on the vest below the first 1. Light
concentric die scratches present on the temple. Obverse Stage B: Die scratches on the temple
still present, but all other Stage A markers no longer present. New N/S die
scratches in the hair below the D in GOD. Die clash at throat. Die gouge
touches the top left corner of the first 1. Reverse

vest. Crisscrossing die scratches through WE. Clusters of strong N/S die

the face. Obverse Stage B: Thin die scratches abraded away. Remaining Stage A die scratches still
visible. Die clash at throat. Die gouge in front of the hair above the
forehead. Reverse Stage A: Die cracks and chips on the T in CENT.
Curving NW/SE die crack from the S in PLURBUS through the upper left corner of
the E in ONE. Die crack extends NW from the rim and curves north in the lower
right wheat ear. Die crack extends north from the tip of the left wheat ear.
Die scratch extends south from the C in AMERICA. Die gouge above the dot
between PLURIBUS and UNUM.
Reverse Stage B: Second reverse. Large die gouge at the bottom of the T in
CENT. Strong N/S die scratches in the field. Strong die scratch extends north
from the top of the T in CENT. Cluster of strong N/S die scratches through OF
and the UNI in UNITED.

AMERICA. Strong NNE/SSW die scratch through the A in STATES. Reverse Stage B: Die scratch north from the T in UNITED very
weak, but still present. Remaining die scratches still present. Reverse Stage C: Die scratches north
from the T in UNITED and through the E in CENT abraded away. Remaining Stage A
die scratches still present. Die crack extends NE from the rim and turns north
in the upper left wheat ear. Large die gouge below the left wheat stem.
