Description: A strong CCW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on LIBERTY, IN, the date, the bowtie, and the front of the vest above and below the bowtie.
Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge extends from the rim just to the right of the second T inTRUST. Two diagonal die scratches can be found below the beard. Reverse: A die crack runs from the upper left cornice to the rim passing through the I in UNITED. Two heavy die gouges can be found to the left of the C in CENT.

Description: Extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, the dots, the designer’s initials, and ONE CENT. Some separation from a spread towards the rim shows on EPU and on the upper letters in CENT especially the N and T. ONE CENT has notched upper letters and a few letters in USA are notched at the bottom.
