1934-D 1¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Extremely strong Class VI extra thickness shows on the date and LIBERTY, and to a lesser extent on the letters of IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A strong die crack runs down the inside of the upper front fold in the vest.  Reverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found just to the right of the bottom horizontal bar of the E in EPU.

1934-D 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Very strong extra thickness shows on both wheat ears and stems, the top of the letters in ONE, EPU, and the dots.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  Two parallel die scratches run from NNW to SSE between the S of PLURIBUS and the dot.  A die scratch runs NE from the center right side of the A in STATES.

1934-D 1¢ WDDR-002

Description:  Light extra thickness shows on EPU and the dots with the stronger spread to the left.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs between the upper R and T of LIBERTY.  Die gouges extend NE from the top of the T.  Reverse:  Three die gouges appear to the east of the center horizontal bar of the E in EPU.
