1980 1¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A very nice Class V CCW spread from a pivot near the rim at approximately 11:00 shows on the date, LIBERTY, the front folds of the vest, the tie, and slightly on the UST of TRUST.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Circular die scratches run through the lower right face.  Two parallel die scratches run SE from the bottoms of the I and N of IN.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs ENE from the S of PLURIBUS through the lower right 1st A to the M of AMERICA.  A die scratch runs ESE through the bottom of the 2nd S of STATES to the O in OF.  A very strong die scratch runs from WNW to ESE through the upper 3rd and 4th Memorial bays.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.

Description:  The ceiling at the top of the 6th Memorial bay is strongly doubled.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die scratches run from NNW to SSE to the left of the 1 and the 9 in the date.  Reverse:  None significant.
