1942 10¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A 1942 date was hubbed over a 1941 date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs from the lower right N of IN to the upper left E of WE.  A short die scratch runs SW from the lower left 4.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs NW from the lower left fasces to the olive branch.

1942 10¢ WDDR-001

Description: A spread toward the center shows on ONE, the leaves closest to the E of ONE and the left star.

Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge near the rim below the right point of the W in WE. NW/SE die scratch in the field located lower left of the designer's initials. Reverse: Die dent between the left lower side of the E in DIME and the rim.
